If you could describe your art in 5 words, what would they be?
as I am an illustrator, I like to do a good work of art, clean, with good finishes,…. but for me…, the most important thing is that my artwork convey something more than purely visual art. I need to convey concepts to my work.
Your work is very original, but who would you say are your main
influences?
I think that my infuences are really heterogeneous, i start to draw a lot when i was young and i began to skate. All of design icons of 1980 ( powell, santa cruz, h-street, etc..) was in my mind in all moment, and now i think the same. Since then I’ve had a change process, in which I have met a lot of art history and I influenced by illustrators and artists like Mark Ryden or Roger Olmos, etc..
Is anyone in your family an Artist?
No, my mother and my father are artist too, but they don´t know jaja.
Is there a story behind you becoming an Artist?
I think thant nobody likes to be an artist. is just a process in your life.. you’re leaving things with you( draw, skate, friends) and leaving others behind….and you become who you are, but I think that this process is some fortuitous at the begining.
Who are some of your favorite bands / musicians?
I listen a lot flamenco, i like a lot Paco de lucia, Rafael de Utrera, and a lot of spanis flamenco singers and gitarr players. i like Jazz too, and i love Diizzy glisespie, charlie parker, and all old swing.
Which public icon would you be most psyched to see wearing your shirt?
i hope that nobody really famous, I don´t like public icons.
